w2.gif (1640 bytes)hen I was a kid, I was a comic book lover.  The colorful illustrations captured my imagination, fueling my desire to learn to draw.  My childish drawing could not match the expertise of the artists I admired so much.  To honor those artists, and to recapture the fun of my first artistic endeavors, I did this series of super-hero covers.  The drawings of the figures, and the backgrounds are completely original.  I drew them on paper, inked them, scanned them into the computer, then colored them.  The logos were scanned from comic book covers then electronically pasted onto the artwork.  I think the results are quite convincing.   Thank you to the fabulously talented artists that inspired me in those early years: John Byrne, Neal Adams, Jack Kirby, Frank Miller, Ross Andru, and all the others!
